Following a humbling 4-1 defeat to World Champions Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier game on Tuesday, Brazil are reportedly looking to take action and are considering a managerial change. Argentina and Brazil are considered as arch-rivals in the world of football, hence a defeat against the other comes as hard to fathom for either team. As Brazil were on the receiving end this time, an action is bound to come and Dorival Junior's job is under the scanner.

Brazil Resume Interest in Real Madrid Manager Carlo Ancelotti
The reports further tell that the Brazil Federation has reignited interest in acquiring the services of Carlo Ancelotti, who is currently the manager of Real Madrid.
"Brazilian Federation are seriously considering a managerial change as now Dorival Junior's position is under review. The dream target for July would be Carlo Ancelotti again", as per Geglobo, but no negotiations are taking place now as it also depends on Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti is currently bound by a contract with Real Madrid and carries the onus of leading the Spanish giants to more silverware this season. Real Madrid are active in all the major tournaments but they have not looked as solid as they were in the previous season. Thus, in case Madrid does not win any title this season then Ancelotti's position in the club could come under review despite his achievements off late. Under the Italian manager, Los Blancos has won two Champions League titles, two LA Liga, and one Copa Del Rey trophy, during the current tenure of Ancelotti.
Ancelotti was linked with the Brazil job in 2023 as well, but he opted to extend his stay in the Spanish capital at that time. It will be anybody's guess what will happen this time. However, if Brazil continues to struggle in the same way then they could rope in a manager like Carlo Ancelotti before the FIFA World Cup 2026 in a bid for better results.
