It was not a great start for Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu when they faced Bayern Munich at home for the 1st leg og the UEFA Champions League clash. The team lost 1-1 against Vincent Kompany’s side ahead of the return leg at the Allianz Arena Stadium.

However, coach Álvaro Arbeloa believes there are high chances of a comeback. Arbeloa has revealed that his players firmly believe they can overturn their 1-2 first-leg deficit against the German side and advance in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a victory in next week's return leg, which will be an away game for Los Blancos.

Arbeloa, speaking after a domestic draw against Girona, explained the squad's unwavering focus on the European tie. He said:

“My players feel they can make the remontada happen next week.”

The Real Madrid boss added:

“That’s the only thing I care about.”

Real Madrid has a storied history of dramatic European comebacks, and Arbeloa has expressed faith that his squad possesses the personality and capability to succeed on Bayern's home ground.

The second leg is scheduled for next week, and it remains to be seen who advances to the semifinals of the UCL. If the 15-time UCL Champions advance, they will face Paris Saint-Germain, another tough team for the Bernabeu team.
