Yamal, a key figure in Barcelona’s successful season, held the flag prominently while the team paraded the trophy. The moment has divided opinions. Supporters praised the young player for expressing solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, viewing it as a principled personal statement. Critics, however, argued that political symbols have no place in sports celebrations, accusing the action of politicizing what should be a pure sporting achievement.

Yamal, who has Moroccan heritage through his mother and Equatorial Guinean roots from his father, has previously drawn attention for his talent and composure on the pitch despite his young age. The flag incident adds a new layer to his growing public profile as one of football’s brightest prospects. Barcelona has not issued an official comment on the matter as of Tuesday.
