Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior said further matters need to be resolved before he issues a full public statement on the ongoing situation involving midfielder Enzo Fernández.
The Argentine international remains sidelined under a two-match internal suspension for comments made during the international break, in which he expressed interest in living in Madrid, remarks the club viewed as crossing a line regarding team culture and commitment.

Rosenior, on the Enzo situation, stated:
“There are still things that need to be cleared before I make a clear statement on the Enzo Fernández situation”.
Despite holding clear-the-air talks with Rosenior and issuing an apology, Fernández will miss Chelsea’s crucial Premier League clash against Manchester City this weekend as the club upholds the sanction.
Rosenior, who believes Fernandez “crossed a line,” has stood firm on the disciplinary decision, made in conjunction with the club’s sporting directors and ownership, and explained that no player is bigger than the team. The vice-captain watched from the stands during Chelsea’s recent FA Cup tie against Port Vale.
