Al Nassr set to promote Cristiano Ronaldo Jr to first team

Al Nassr is considering integrating 15-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. into senior team training from the upcoming season, according to a report by Fabrizio Romano. The club has been closely monitoring the youngster’s progress in its academy, where he plays as a left winger, to accelerate his development alongside his father, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Romano's post read:

"Al Nassr are considering to bring Cristiano Ronaldo Jr with the first team in training from next season."

The Italian journalist's post further read:

"He’s turning 16 in June and Al Nassr are closely monitoring his development + best options for his pathway. Inclusion in first squad is an option, as @alweeamnews report."

Ronaldo Jr. has already shown strong promise, including a recent hat-trick in youth competition. According to sources, the move would mark a significant step in the teenager’s career, coming amid reported interest from several European clubs.

Ronaldo Jr. recently trained with Real Madrid’s U-16 squad, highlighting the growing attention on his potential. Al Nassr officials believe exposing him to first-team environments could help refine his skills under professional conditions while keeping him in the same setup as his father.

A successful promotion would create a rare father-son pairing in professional football, echoing past examples like Rivaldo and Rivaldinho. Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has frequently spoken about his son’s passion for the game and his desire to support his development, adding a personal dimension to the club’s youth-to-senior pathway strategy.
