Jorge Jesus admires Roger Fernandes
The Portuguese winger, who is a product of the Braga academy made his debut in senior level in 2021, producing five goals and three assists in the 2024-25 season. He is highly rated by new Al-Nassr coach Jorge Jesus.
Jesus wants to sign Fernandes for the spot reserved for an U-22 player in the squad. With Ronaldo and Joao Felix already in the line-up for the upcoming season, Fernandes' arrival can add more depth in the squad.
Jesus loves Fernandes' playing approach right from the start when he made his debut as a 15-year-old kid, now, at 19, the winger is being looked as a possible signing. He is known for his pace, Fernandes' decision-making in the final third has also earned praise.
In 85 outings for Braga, Fernandes has scored 11 goals. He also featured in three matches for the Portugal U-21 team, but has not scored yet. If Al-Nassr signs him, then he will learn a lot of things from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo signed a new two-year deal with the Saudi club, extending his tenure till 2027. He has been among the best players in the league since his arrival in January 2023.
As per his new contract, Ronaldo will earn €400 million every year, he will enjoy additional benefits given if his team wins major tournaments. He will be given €4 million bonus if he wins the Golden Boot.
