Fermin Lopez’s recent comments on Julian Alvarez have further fueled the transfer rumors. The midfielder has spoken positively about the Atletico Madrid striker, describing the Argentine as a player who would suit the Catalan club’s style and squad.

Barcelona star hopes Julian Alvarez will join club to fuel transfer rumors
In an interview with Diari ARA, Lopez said:
“I like him, he’s a great player, but ultimately he’s an Atlético Madrid player, so I can’t say much more about him”.
The Spanish professional further added:
“I can only say that, in our squad and the way we play, I think he would fit in very well.”
The comments come amid ongoing speculation linking Alvarez with a move to Barcelona as the club looks to strengthen its attack. Atletico Madrid have so far shown little willingness to sell their key forward. Recently, Diego Simeone added that the club wants to keep the player.
Lopez also indicated his own flexibility, noting he could adapt to a false-nine role if required, having played there in Barcelona’s youth teams, and pointed to other options such as Anthony Gordon, Dani Olmo and Raphinha who could contribute goals.
