Manchester City’s latest UEFA  Champions League draw has thrown up yet another blockbuster showdown, and Pep Guardiola has already shared his thoughts on facing Real Madrid once more in the knockout stages. The City boss offered his perspective right after the draw was confirmed eveling his mindset. 

Pep drops cryptic response to Real Madrid vs Man City UCL draw rematch

After the draw, the City boss appeared for a press conference ahead of their clash against Leeds United. While talking about the familiar draw, the Spanish head coach said: 

“Man City-Real Madrid again… for our club, as much as you play against the best teams in the whole history of this competition, you learn and improve, and you are better in the future”. 

Meanwhile, this marks the fifth consecutive year the two European powerhouses have met in the knockout stages, adding fresh fuel to one of modern football's most intense rivalries that has delivered high-stakes drama since 2020. 

The ties are scheduled for March 10/11, first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu and March 17/18, second leg at the Etihad Stadium, with the Sky Blues hosting the return fixture thanks to their top-eight finish in the league phase. The winner will advance to face either Atalanta or Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.
