Robert Lewandowski scored two goals, but one of those was for Slavia Prague, and the opponent’s team celebrated it hilariously on social media. The Polish star helped the side with an equaliser while Slavia were down 1-2.
Lewandowski’s own-goal blunder turns him into Slavia’s unlikely hero
The official account of Slavia Prague on X (formerly Twitter) had a desire to see Lewandowski in their jersey following the own goal, and this is what they wrote:
“Hey @grok, put him in a Slavia jersey please.”
Lewandowski scored at both ends of the net as Barcelona recorded a 4-2 victory over the Czech professional football club on Wednesday night as the UEFA Champions League resumed. Vasil Kusej opened the goal scoring for his side on home soil. However, Fermin Loperz put Barcelona ahead with a brace in the first half.
While Lopez could celebrate his second goal, Lewandowski found the wrong side of the net to score an own goal to level 2-2 heading into the half-time. The Polish star then made up for the mistake made in the first half by adding one for Hansi Flick’s side in the second half, with Dani Olmo scoring one too to claim important three points.
Meanwhile, the Spanish giants will next face Oviedo in La Liga and will attempt to continue their dominance in the league. They will then play Copenhagen in the Champions League.
