After announcing the decision of leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, it is being reported that Mohamed Salah has identified his destination after his stint for the Reds comes to an end.

According to a report from Italian news outlet, Gazzetta dello Sport, Mohamed Salah is eying a comeback to his former club, Roma, after his time at Liverpool comes to an end.

The Egyptian winger will leave Liverpool for free at the end of the season, the only trouble Roma could face is Mohamed Salah's hefty wages. At Liverpool, the winger earns around €12 million per season. On the other hand, Roma has a fixed cap of €4 million.

Amid offers from Saudi clubs already being placed at the table, the Egyptian forward could play only one season at Roma, and then think about his future challenge.

Mohamed Salah's legacy at Liverpool

The Egyptian forward, arrived at Liverpool from AS Roma in the season of 2017, and managed to score 255 goals in 435 appearances and helped the Reds to win two Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup and two League Cups, and FA Community Shield.

Mohamed Salah's struggle in the 2025-26 season

In the ongoing season, Mohamed Salah failed to create his impact which led to Liverpool's poor outings. The Reds forward managed to amass only five goals and six assists in 22 Premier League games. In the UEFA Champions League, the Egyptian scored three goals and two assists.
