This new update on Harry Kane might excite the Bayern Munich fans. The Bundesliga superstar has recovered from an ankle injury and is travelling with the squad for Tuesday's UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Harry Kane returns to Bayern Munich squad for Champions League clash against Real Madrid
The England captain, who missed Bayern's weekend Bundesliga win over Freiburg due to the ankle issue picked up during the international break, took part in team training on Monday. Fabrizio Romano took over his social media account to confirm the news and wrote:
“Harry Kane is back and travels to Madrid with FC Bayern squad to face Real.”
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl and manager Vincent Kompany had expressed optimism about his availability, with teammate Joshua Kimmich famously stating that Kane "would play even in a wheelchair."
Kane has been in sensational form this season, making his potential return a significant boost for the German side in one of the most anticipated ties of the round. The decision on whether Kane starts at the Bernabeu will be made closer to kick-off.
However, his inclusion in the travelling party has lifted spirits at Bayern. Real Madrid, meanwhile, face the added challenge of containing one of Europe's most prolific strikers as they host the first leg on home stadium, followed by the away match at the Allianz Arena.
