Arsenal will be hoping to keep their Premier League title hopes alive as they head to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Sunday, March 9.

Arsenal are coming fresh from a 7-1 thrashing of PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 as the second leg is just a mere formality for Mikel Arteta's side as they have booked their place in the last eight. But, when it comes to the Premier League, Arsenal have dropped points in their last two fixtures after a draw against Forest and a 1-0 loss to West Ham United.

By dropping as much as five points in their last two matches, they have allowed Liverpool to stretch their lead at top as they are 13 points ahead with an extra game played. A win at Old Trafford would keep their title hopes alive heading in April.

As for United, they won their last clash against Ipswich Town after being reduced to 10 players with Patrick Dorgu being sent off. They did lose to Fulham in the penalty shootout in the FA Cup round of 16 despite knocking the Gunners out on penalty kicks in the third round. This match against the Gunners is placed between their Europa League tie against Real Sociedad as Ruben Amorim knowns that winning the Europa League would help salvage a rather below par season for them.

Arsenal have played 27 games in the Premier League season so far with 54 points on the board. Whereas, United are well behind in the standings as they have played 27 games and have posted 33 points. Arsenal see themselves second in the table and United are placed fourteenth.
