Eder Militao will be out for 3-4 months, as reported by Arancha Rodriguez. The player suffered a tear in the biceps femoris muscle of his left leg with involvement of the tendon.
The Brazilian defender injured his thighs on Sunday during the team’s 0-2 loss against Vigo in the league. Although his return has not been officially announced by the club, the 27-year-old is expected to make his return in 2026.
The centre-back was substituted in the first half of the match, which was Xabi Alonso’s first home league loss of the season. Militao was taken off the field by medical staff who underwent tests on his left hamstring, which took place on Monday.
Militao has played 15 games this season before he was forced to be sidelined for months. The 15-time UCL winners are already without Trent Alexander-Arnold in the back line as the former Liverpool star has been ruled out for two months.
