Kylian Mbappe matched one of Cristiano Ronaldo's records with Real Madrid following their 2-0 win over Sevilla on Saturday, December 20. The French player scored to secure the win for Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Big feat for Kylian Mbappe

Cristiano Ronaldo held the record for scoring most goals in a calendar year as a Real Madrid player with 59 goals. Kylian Mbappe has levelled that record with 59 goals in 2025. The French forward won't be able to break this feat as LaLiga heads for a winter break now.

Mbappe scored through a penalty in the 86th minute against Sevilla after Juanlu Sanchez fouled Rodrygo in the box. After scoring, The Frenchman recreated Ronaldo's iconic 'SIUUU' celebration as a tribute. The Spanish club's official X (formerly known as Twitter) account posted images from this celebration, writing in the caption:

"Déjà vu."
