Anderson’s rapid rise has also impressed England manager Thomas Tuchel, whose glowing assessment has only intensified the Red Devils' interest. After England’s victory over Andorra, Tuchel remarked:

United backed away from a summer deal after Brighton indicated the fee could mirror Moises Caicedo’s £115 million sale, but Amorim remains a strong admirer of the 21-year-old, who is open to the switch.
Should negotiations for Anderson or Baleba falter, United have mapped out backup solutions. Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher is viewed as a potential short-term option if he becomes available on loan, while Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton is being monitored following his recent contract upgrade.
