Vinicius Jr’s contract with Real Madrid will expire in 2027. The Brazilian has been heavily booed at the Santiago Bernabeu recently for his part in the Los Blancos’ recent form. However, the team is coming off a stunning 6-1 win against AS Monaco as the UEFA Champions League returned.

The 25-year-old was one of the scorers who netted at the 63rd minute of the match, powering the side towards an outstanding victory. Following this, the player had finally spoke about his contract renewal with the Spanish giants.

Vinicius Jr wants to stay at Real Madrid beyond 2027

Vinicius Jr has revealed his desire to stay at Real Madrid beyond 2027 when his contract expires. The Real Madrid forward, as per TNT Brasil, said:

"I want to stay here for a long time.”

Viniciur further said:

"There's also a lot of talk about my contract renewal because I have another year left.”

The Brazilian said:

"We're very relaxed about it. I trust the [Real Madrid] president [Florentino Perez], and he trusts me.”

Talking about his relationship with club president Florentino Perez, Viniciur said:

“We have a very good relationship, and we'll sort things out at the right time. We're in no hurry to do that."

Earlier, during this year’s Madrid Derby, Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone had warned the player that he would be thrown out of the club. The scene happened when Vinicius Jr was subbed off, after which the two were involved in a heated exchange at the touchline.

However, Simeone had later apologised for his choice of words. Meanwhile, the Whites will face SL Benfica in their upcoming fixture of the UEFA Champions League.
