Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz missed a crucial 'Panenka' penalty for Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) final against Senegal. Following this, Morocco lost their first AFCON title in 50 years. 

The La Liga midfielder contentiously won the spot-kick deep into second-half stoppage time while both sides were goalless. It was a golden opportunity for the Atlas Lions to bag the continental crown, but it was missed. 

One of the many who was watching the game was Diaz’s teammate, Trent Arnold Alexander, and his reaction to the penalty miss is something that has everyone talking on the internet. Here is how the former Liverpool star reacted.

Diaz went for a ‘Panenka’ in the 24th minute of stoppage time, but his penalty sailed tamely into the arms of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. This made teammate Trent leave the room as he was watchingSunday's final, where Morocco hosted Senegal.  

Trent was watching the game alongside his brother Marcell when the ball landed in Mendy's grateful grasp. The English player turned away immediately from the camera as he walked out of the room. 

Meanwhile, Diaz was captured crying following the brutal penalty miss as he missed teh title on home soil.     The player finished up as the top scorer at the tournament after recording five goals in seven games.
