Barcelona will lock horns with Sevilla in their next LaLiga clash on Sunday, March 15. It is going to be a tough clash as Hansi Flick is aiming for a squad rotation in Sunday's game.
When will Frenkie de Jong make a return?
Barca's key midfielder, Frenkie de Jong, is going to stay on the sidelines because of a hamstring injury, sustained during training last month.
The Spanish club dropped an update on De Jong's return timeline. The Netherlands international would miss at least six weeks. The midfielder has not played for the club since the victory against Levante in LaLiga.
In an interaction with reporters, Hansi Flick dropped a positive update on Netherlands international, saying that everything is going well with his recovery and would make a return for the Catalan club after the upcoming international break.
"We hope he will be back after the break. Everything is going well. I think he will be back after the national team matches,” Hansi told reporters.
The 28-year-old Dutch midfielder has played 19 games in the league and managed to score one goal and drop four assists. Frenkie is going through a red-hot form, as he gave some of the best performances of his career in the ongoing season.
Next challenge for Barcelona
After the game against Sevilla, Barca will gear up to lock horns with Newcastle for the second leg of UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie at Camp Nou.
