There was a jersey swap moment between the Colombian star and his former Bayern Munich teammate Thomas Müller. The post-match moment captured the pair embracing and exchanging shirts.
The viral moment took everyone back to memories of their successful 2017 stint together in Germany. Both players, the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner Rodríguez and 2010 winner Müller, shared the pitch briefly after the former Real Madrid player entered as a substitute in the 64th minute and Müller followed later.
It was the first MLS match featuring two FIFA World Cup Golden Boot recipients. Rodriguez signed with the Lons this year in February, following his stint with the Club Leion in Mexico.
