The Real Madrid goalkeeper reacted to the reception Trent got following his return to his former home ground, which was not pleasing. However, he also stated that the fans have the right to express their feelings, as he recalled his Chelsea exit. During his conversation with Andy Kerr TV, the Los Blancos star said:
"I had it when I left Chelsea. But it's not the same, he's a kid from Liverpool. It's a pity.”
The 33-year-old, speaking of fans, further said:
“Obviously, I'm not judging the fans; they're entitled to their own opinion. But he's a young kid who played all his career with Liverpool, and we only have one career, and we all have dreams.”
