Haryana Steelers used all the weapons they had in their arsenal but they eventually had to go down 38-40 against Jaipur Pink Panthers in Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 in Bengaluru on December 25 (Saturday). Captain Vikash Kandola was Haryana’s pick of the player with 14 raid points scored in the match.
The Haryana Steelers carried out an amazing tackle in the fourth minute and took a two-point lead with 4-2.
Vikash Kandola executed a brilliant raid minutes later and helped his side Haryana to take a four-point lead with 7-3. The Haryana side played an all-out in the next minute and increased their lead by 6 points. The Steelers played another perfect super tackle in the 15th minute and bagged a five-point lead (17-12).
The Jaipur Pink Panthers exhibited an all-out in the last few minutes, although, the Steelers managed to hold on to their lead by one point (22-21) at the end of the first half.
Both the sides were close to each other in the first four minutes of the second half as Haryana and Jaipur were deadlocked at 26-26. The Panthers pulled off an all-out in the 30th minute and led with 33-27.
The Steelers tried to script a memorable comeback with a superb tackle and a couple of raids, however, the Jaipur side kept moving forward.
Rohit Gulia pulled off a terrific super raid in the last few minutes of the match and reduced Jaipur’s lead, although, the Panthers secured their lead and finished the match with a close score line of 40-38.
Victory for Puneri Paltan
Previously, Puneri Paltan provided a brilliant show despite not having their superstar Rahul Choudhary. Paltans got the better of Telugu Titans by a margin of 34-33 in their second match of the eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKl) at Sheraton Grand on Saturday (December 25).
Yoddha secure win
UP Yoddha edged Patna Pirates 36-35 in the final move of the match to clinch much-needed five points in their Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) contest here on Saturday.
In the first match of the day, Patna Pirates almost had managed to claw their way back into a tie in the last move of the match as they tackled Surender Gill but the UP Yoddha raider made sure that he got a bonus point in the play to keep that one-pointlead alive.
