First half

Pune’s Aslam got his team off to a great start in first half. Not only did he get three points by hitting a super raid, but he also got two points through tackles. He got good support from Goyat. This resulted in Puneri Paltan getting the UP Yoddhas all out very quickly. However, UP Yoddha also made a tremendous comeback before the end of the first half by inflicting an all-out on Pune. However, Paltan maintained their lead till the end of the first 20 minutes. After the first half, Puneri Paltan took a 21-18 lead against UP Yoddha.

Second half

Paltan started the second half with a bang as they inflicted an all out UP Yoddha for the second time in the match. Meanwhile, Goyat also completed his Super 10. Narwal did not do much for UP Yoddha, but he got his team back with a super raid. However, his defenders failed miserably and this was also the main reason behind his team's poor performance. Gill scored four raid points via a super raid and the team of UP Yoddha came close to all out Puneri Paltan. Gill also completed his Super 10 in the meantime.

UP Yoddha narrowed the gap quite a bit. Gill once again made a multi-point raid while Puneri Paltan's defense also made a lot of mistakes. However, towards the end, Paltan's defence ensured their team a win by dismissing three raiders of UP Yoddha at the crucial moment.
