Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will join forces to end the title drought of Ferrari. The Italian contractor last won the championship in 2008, therefore, the objective for both prominent drivers would be clear. But, it wasn't to be and with the arrival of Hamilton, Sainz's time with Ferrari came to an end.
While Leclerc does not share the same bond with Hamilton that he does with Sainz, the Monegasque driver has the utmost respect for the former Mercedes driver and is looking forward to sharing the dais with him.
It’s a different kind of relationship because I haven’t spent that much time with Lewis yet, but I have obviously so much respect for Lewis and what he has achieved.
And we have had a very good relationship. We don’t have quite the same age, but we still share a lot of interest outside racing. So, no, I’m sure it won’t be any different.

He could have begun his Ferrari journey at the post-season tests in Abu Dhabi but the 7-time world champion was made to wait and as certain obligations came in the way as explained by team principal Toto Wolff.
However, since his time with the Silver Arrows is officially over, the prolonged wait is also set to end. Reports suggest that Hamilton will most likely test an older-spec Ferrari F1 Car at their private test track in Fiorano later this month. He could be witnessed driving an SF-75 from January 20 to 25.
After a subpar season with Mercedes last season, Hamilton has expressed the desire to reinvigorate himself ahead of the much-awaited beginning with Ferrari.
After an undesired culmination with Mercedes, Hamilton was quoted by Sky Sports F1 as saying:
“I could happily go and take a holiday.” But once he is done recouping, the Briton will be eager to get down to business with his engineers in Maranello.
