Even though the NASCAR season has officially wrapped up, Sydney Sweeney is keeping the adrenaline high by stepping into the fast-paced world of racing. The 27-year-old Euphoria star, known for her fierce roles on screen, took a break from Hollywood to experience the thrill of NASCAR firsthand, joining 2023 Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney at the iconic Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Sydney Sweeney's High-Speed Adventure

Dressed in a blue racing suit and beaming with excitement, Sweeney took the wheel of a real NASCAR race car, sharing her unforgettable experience with her followers on social media.

"This is awesome!" she captioned her post, along with photos of her grinning in her helmet and celebrating after completing several laps on the track.

Her Instagram slideshow captured the joy of the day, from the intense moment of driving solo on the track to her triumphant pose with Blaney. "Thank you @ryanblaney10 for showing me what I’ve been missing out on!" Sweeney expressed, clearly thrilled by her time on the track.

The experience was part of the NASCAR Racing Experience, a program that allows fans to drive real race cars under the guidance of a professional spotter. While Sweeney’s racing debut was exciting for fans, it’s not entirely surprising given her background as a car enthusiast.

 A Life-long Love for Cars

Sweeney has always had a passion for automobiles, and her interest in cars goes beyond just a celebrity hobby. She’s refurbished multiple vintage cars and even started a TikTok account called Syd’s Garage to share her passion with fans. One of her standout projects was restoring a 1969 Ford Bronco, which she used to encourage other women to explore their interest in cars and mechanics.

"I've always been a huge fan of vintage vehicles, My babysitters used to be race car drivers, and I thought I was going to be one when I grew up,"  Sweeney explained in a past interview.

 A Future on the Track?

Although her NASCAR adventure was just a one-day thrill, Sweeney’s joy and fearlessness on the track have led some to wonder if she might return to racing in the future. After all, the experience seemed to ignite a real spark in her, and it wouldn't be surprising if we saw more of Sweeney in the fast lane.

What’s particularly exciting about this NASCAR adventure is the possibility that Sweeney’s natural fit for the world of racing could become more than just a personal passion—it might even lead to a role in the movies. With talk of a Days of Thunder sequel or remake circulating in Hollywood, Sweeney’s drive and enthusiasm could make her a perfect candidate for the role of a future racing star.

The 1990 cult classic, starring Tom Cruise as the NASCAR driver Cole Trickle, is reportedly being considered for a revival, with Cruise potentially returning to the track following the success of Top Gun: Maverick. If a Days of Thunder sequel does happen, Sydney Sweeney might just be the ideal protege for Cruise’s character, a role that could mirror her own passion for racing. Imagine her in the fast lane—take my money now!

Sweeney’s experience on the NASCAR track might just be the beginning of an exciting new chapter, both on and off the screen. If she decides to dive deeper into the world of racing, we could be seeing more of her behind the wheel in the future.
