The German side seized the momentum, with goals from Harry Kane, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Luis Díaz and Michael Olise proving decisive in the late surge. Alvaro Arbeloa’s squad had fought back earlier, with contributions from Kylian Mbappé and Arda Güler’s brace; however, it was not enough to escape the defeat.

In the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu, Bayern secured a 2-1 victory thanks to strikes from Luis Díaz and Kane, with Mbappé replying for the hosts. The aggregate triumph marks a stunning milestone for Kompany’s side, ending Real Madrid’s campaign in the competition they have dominated historically.
