Red Bull's Max Verstappen recently opened up about his stance on his Formula 1 future, addressing ongoing speculation regarding his career and his stay in the Austrian team. As a four-time World Champion, Verstappen has solidified his place as one of the greatest in the sport. With the 2025 season approaching, fans eagerly await to see him dominate the track once again. Amid these discussions, here's what Verstappen had to say about his plans in motorsport.

Max Verstappen’s take on his Formula 1 future

With a decade-long career in Formula 1, Max Verstappen has reached unprecedented heights, including clinching four World Championships and extending his contract with Red Bull until the 2028 season. However, the rumor mill hasn’t slowed down, linking the Dutchman with potential moves to rival teams like Mercedes and Aston Martin.

In a recent interview with F1.com, Verstappen revealed his laid-back attitude toward his career, a mindset he’s held since childhood.

He reflected on conversations with his father, saying, "That’s always a discussion I had with my dad when I was a kid. I always had this thing that I said, ‘Yeah, whatever, we’ll see.’"

His father often challenged this perspective, urging him to be more proactive. Verstappen humorously added, "My dad said, ‘What do you mean, we’ll see? That’s not an approach.’ But that’s me – I don’t like to stress out on stuff, I don’t like to overthink or overcomplicate stuff."

This relaxed approach seems to have worked wonders for Verstappen, as he remains focused on the present while staying unfazed by external pressures or transfer speculations. His calm demeanor is perhaps what enables him to perform at such an elite level, balancing his career with his passion for sim racing and his grounded outlook on life.

As the 2025 Formula 1 season approaches, Verstappen’s unwavering focus and passion for the sport will undoubtedly keep him at the forefront of motorsport, regardless of where his future takes him. With that being said, let's wait and see what 2025 holds for Verstappen and Red Bull, whether he'll be able to reclaim his title while bringing back the Constructor's title to his team.
