Oscar Piastri surges ahead in Title race after Miami GP Triumph, Where is Max Verstappen placed?

Oscar Piastri’s golden run continued under the Florida sun as the McLaren driver clinched his third consecutive win of the 2025 Formula 1 season at the Miami Grand Prix. With this result, he has now pulled clear at the top of the driver standings, widening the gap over teammate Lando Norris.

The race saw Max Verstappen begin from pole at the Miami International Autodrome, but early contact with Norris sent the Brit off track, pushing him down to sixth. Norris, however, recovered strongly, overtaking Alex Albon and both Mercedes drivers before eventually getting past Verstappen to finish second behind Piastri.

Piastri had already made his move on Verstappen in the early laps, showcasing calm control and unshakable pace to bring home the win. Norris’s charge ensured a 1-2 finish for McLaren, giving them a huge boost in both the drivers’ and constructors’ battles.
