Red Bull to Sack Christian Horner?
Staggering reports claim that Red Bull could part ways with Christian Horner after the upcoming Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola. The assertions have been drawn after a difficult spell on a personal level for Horner, who in 2024 was accused by a female employee of "coercive behaviour". However, he has always denied the accusations.
An internal power struggle emerged within the company, with Mark Mateschitz, son of founder Dietrich, reportedly wanting to oust Horner due to concerns over his growing influence following Dietrich's 2022 death, a view seemingly shared by the Verstappen camp.
Horner retained backing from the Thai side of the business, led by Chalerm Yoovidhya, co-founder and 51% owner of the parent company, giving him a key power base separate from the F1 arm.
Red Bull is reportedly already exploring potential replacements, with former Alpine boss Oliver Oakes being considered for the top spot, per oe24.
Franz Tost, the longtime head of Red Bull's secondary F1 team, is also reportedly being considered as a potential replacement in the event of a mid-season change.
However, despite the reports, sources close to Red Ball have come out to inform a popular news outlet that Horner's job is not at risk.
