The NASCAR Cup Series is gearing up for the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, with entry lists now available. On Monday afternoon, NASCAR announced the entry lists for the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Truck Series ahead of the event. 

For the YellaWood 500, all 34 full-time drivers will participate. Among the part-time entrants, Cody Ware will pilot the No. 15 car for Rick Ware Racing, and Shane van Gisbergen will drive the No. 16 car for Kaulig Racing. Additionally, the open entries include A.J. Allmendinger (Kaulig Racing), J.J. Yeley (NY Racing Team), Anthony Alfredo (Beard Motorsports), and B.J. McLeod (Live Fast Motorsports), completing a 40-driver field.

Blaney told Nexstar Media he doesn’t think anyone has an advantage or disadvantage heading into the race.

“It’s just how you perform in those races, how you position yourself. You hope to control your fate as much as you can on the speedway at Talladega. It’s a funky round but same for everybody.”

 

 

Reddick, who won the spring race in April, said his focus has been on getting top five or top ten and scoring a lot of points.

“If we do those things here, it will put us in a posit. ion where we’re not overly stressed going into Talladega. Anytime you go speedway racing so much can happen in such a short amount of time that you’re just kind of on the edge of your seat, if you will," said Reddick.
