The young 17-year-old Palak set a new Games record with a remarkable score of 241.2, clinching the gold medal on Friday. Alongside Esha, this achievement marked India's 17th shooting medal in Hangzhou.

The Indian women's 10m air pistol team, spearheaded by Esha Singh and featuring Palak and Divya Thadigol Subbaraju, showcased their prowess at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. They bagged a silver medal for India, narrowly missing the gold by just five points to China.

Esha's performance in Hangzhou has been noteworthy. She previously secured a silver in the women's individual 25m pistol category and joined forces with Manu Bhaker and Rhythm Sangwan to grab gold in the women's 25m pistol team event.

Talat eventually earned a bronze, marking Pakistan's inaugural shooting medal in the Asian Games. In a thrilling conclusion, Palak surpassed the previous games record set by China's Qian Wiang in 2018, securing the gold for India.
