The Australian earned a clean sweep on all five scorecards, securing 29-28 victories from three judges and wider 30-27 advantages from the remaining two. While the opening round saw both fighters trade heavy blows in a tight tussle, Dixon eventually took charge through superior footwork and crisp counter-punching. A spirited late push by Jadumani wasn't enough to bridge the gap, as Dixon held his nerve to wrap up the gold.

Though he fell short in the finale, the silver medal marks a stellar milestone for the 22-year-old Indian in his debut Commonwealth Games appearance. Jadumani had punched his ticket to the final in emphatic style, dismantling England’s Ellis Trowbridge with a 5-0 masterclass in the semi-finals to keep India’s impressive last-four winning streak intact.
The Manipur-born Army fighter made his intentions clear early in the tournament, bursting onto the radar with a 5-0 thrashing of Pakistan’s Sumama Rehman in the last-16 before storming through the quarter-finals to assure India a spot on the podium. That round-of-16 triumph carried emotional weight, as he dedicated the victory over his cross-border rival to the martyrs of the Kargil War.
