Sakshi Chaudhary capped off a dominant campaign with the women's 51kg gold meda. Fighting from the red corner, Sakshi took immediate charge to claim a unanimous opening round. Despite a spirited second-round effort from White, Sakshi edged the frame 4-1 to keep the upper hand before comfortably navigating the final stanza to seal her victory and secure the gold.

The title win completed an untouched run through the bracket for the Indian boxer. Prior to the final, Sakshi advanced through the tournament without dropping a single round on the scorecards, dispatching Caitlyn Fryers of Northern Ireland 5-0 in the quarter-finals before delivering another 5-0 shut-out against Canada’s Amber-Jane Wall in the semi-finals.
This gold medal stands as the ultimate payoff for a truly extraordinary career arc. Emerging from a farming background, Sakshi went on to serve in the Indian Army before making a statement in the ring. Her spot on the Commonwealth Games roster was earned through sheer grit: she shed three kilograms in just three weeks to make weight, then shocked the field during trials by outpointing former world champion Nikhat Zareen along with Minakshi Hooda.
