British MMA legend Michael Bisping was a part of some bitter rivalries back in time and in a recent interview he revealed the name of the fighter who he did not respect.
Given that there have been numerous controversial figures who have fought in the UFC over the years, Bisping's response may surprise you, as the man he named did not have a bad criminal record or questionable behavior outside of the Octagon but did something to the Brit inside the Octagon that changed his life forever.
“Oh, Vitor Belfort. A Brazilian steroid machine. You know, one of the biggest cheats in all the sport. Now we have contracts, and we have drug testing and all that type of stuff. More importantly, as a man, you should be like, ‘I’m just trying to beat you fair and square.’ By getting up in the morning, going on a run, going to the gym, but this p**** was on every steroid under the sun. So, forget Tim Kennedy. Vitor Belfort." Bisping in an interview with British boxing legend Carl Froch
If you're familiar with Michael Bisping's illustrious MMA career, his naming Vitor Belfort as the worst guy in UFC history shouldn't come as a surprise. While the Brazilian legend may not have had as public a rivalry with 'The Count' as Dan Henderson and Luke Rockhold, his dislike for Belfort is stronger than his dislike for anyone else, as in their fight in 2013, 'The Phenom' finished Bisping with a head kick that caused his eye problems.
Bisping suffered a detached retina as a result of a powerful head kick from Belfort; however, the Brit is upset because Belfort was found to be on steroids at the time of their fight, and if he had been clean, Bisping would not have had the horrific issues with his eye that he now has removed. 'The Count' sat down with British boxing star Carl Froch and revealed why the Brazilian is the worst fighter in UFC history.
