Following the culmination of the UFC 314, the MMA promotion has diverted its attention to solidifying the card of UFC 316. A total of four new fights have been announced for the event, scheduled to take place on June 7, 2025. The card will be headlined by the Bantamweight fight between champion of the weight class Merab Dvalishvili and challenger Sean O'Malley. This fight was announced by the UFC CEO Dana White a few weeks ago via an Instagram session.

UFC 316 Will be Headlined by Merab Dvalishvili vs Sean O'Malley Fight
The Merab vs Sean rematch received a mixed reaction from the fans, and many of the fanatics expressed disapproval of the booking by highlighting Merab's total domination over O'Malley at UFC 316. Thus, the fight hasn't given them the reason for any hype, and do not see it unfolding any differently at UFC 316.

UFC Develops the Card by Adding Four More Fights
While it will be intriguing to see how Sean will fare this time in the Octagon against Merab, there will be other reasons to focus on the card. Subsequently, the UFC has rendered not one but four of those.
In a post on social media on April 15, UFC confirmed four fights for the UFC 316 event.
- #7 Marlon Vera (23-10-1) vs. #10 Mario Bautista (15-2); Bantam
- #10 Jonny Walker (21-9) vs. #12 Azamat Murzakanov (14-0); Light Heavy
- #12 Bruno Silva (14-6-2) vs. #14 Joshua Van (13-2); Fly
- Kelvin Gastelum (19-9) vs. Joe Pyfer (13-3); Middle
Besides the aforementioned fights, the card will feature the Women's Bantamweight Championship bout. Julianna Penna will put her title on the line against Kayla Harrison. So, both Bantamweight titles will be up for grabs at the event.
While there is no denying that these are all interesting matchups, the fans are still hopeful and awaiting the announcement of the colossal heavyweight clash between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.
