The event witnessed, Alexander Volkanovski beating Diego Lopes to reclaim the UFC Featherweight title. Paddy Pimblett, who fought Michael Chandler in the co-main event of the UFC 314, emerged as the other big winner on the night. The victory has improved the rankings of both fighters in their respective divisions.

Alexander Volkanovski Enters the PFP Top 10 Again
Alexander Volkanovski has made a storied comeback. The fighter endured consecutive knock-out losses and against all the odds broke the stereotypes by winning the title at the age of 36. Following the win, Volk has once again entered the top 10 of the Pound-For-Pound rankings. He broke the threshold at number 9.
Paddy Pimblett, who has long been consistent, has garnered immense recognition in the rankings. Pimblett has entered the top 10 of the UFC Lightweight Rankings. He has climbed to the number 8 spot. He was ranked 12th earlier. The victory against Chandler is his 7th straight win and thus got the deserved push in the rankings.

Other Notable Movements in the UFC Rankings
Aside from Volkanovski and Pimblett, Dominick Reyes and Virna Jandiroba also made leaps in the rankings. Reyes is now number 8 in the UFC Light-Heavyweight rankings. It has been an exceptional turnaround by the former Light-heavyweight title challenger. Another win could put him in the title contender conversation again. Jandiroba on the other hand had reached the pinnacle of the UFC Strawweight Rankings following a win over Yan Xiaonan.

Another notable change in the rankings has occurred in the Featherweight division. Jean Silva, who won the monumental win against Bryce Mitchell, debuted at 11th in the Featherweight division. As for Mitchell, he has been pushed out of the rankings. Yair Rodriguez has also reaped a positive movement in the rankings. Rodriguez defeated Patricio Pitbull at the event and subsequently attained the number 4 spot in the Featherweight rankings. Former champion Ilia Topuria has been dropped to number 3 after relinquishing the title.
