"Money can't buy class," Fans react as Danielle Collins faces boos once again at Australian Open 2025

The Australian Open 2025 is in full flow with the young guns trying to make a name for themselves while the legends like Novak Djokovic aim for history in Melbourne. Amid the excitement and thrill, a controversy surrounding the ongoing tournament has divided the tennis fans. The incident is related to the American icon Danielle Collins, who recently found herself on the receiving end from the Aussie crowd following her victory over the local favorite Destanee Aiava. 

Collins did not hold back and responded to the hecklers in her own style, and her response received praise from the Serbian icon Djokovic, who said that he loved Collins' response and it was the right way to react to the boos. Now in a recent development on the controversy, the 31-year-old American standout was once again hooted when she entered the Rod Laver Arena for her third-round match. Fans were not happy with the way Collins was treated by the Aussie crowd and have voiced their support for Collins and anger towards the Australian crowd.

It was during Collins' third-round match against the compatriot Madison Keys when the fans welcomed the former by a cacophony of boos in the Rod Laver Arena. A video of the same was shared by Eurosport on their X handle (formerly Twitter). In the clip, Collins is seen entering the court and waving to the audience, despite the boos. She responded to the crowd's reaction with a smile as she got ready for the match.
