Tennis star Venus Williams raises eyebrows with stunning ring, is she engaged to Andrea Preti?

Tennis legend and one of the duo between the Williams sisters, Venus Williams has raised eyebrows after she was seen wearing a sparkling diamond ring on her left hand while in Rome. She was spotted with none other than Italian actor and filmmaker Andrea Preti and has surely added fuel to possible engagement rumors. 

Is Venus Williams engaged to Andrea Preti?

Both Venus Williams and Andrea Preti were seen enjoying each other's company outside a tennis practice session in Rome. In the photos captured by the PEOPLE, the couple is seen kissing followed by Preti kissing Williams' cheek as she was glowing with joy. 

Throughout the practice session, Williams was seen donning a diamond ring, which featured a square-cut center stone with a pave setting. Preti was also at the sidelines watching the practice session which further suggests that the two are growing fond of each other. 

It is still not clear when Venus Williams and Andrea Preti started dating but they were first seen together in July 2024 during a vacation in Italy. The couple was seen boating around the famous Amalfi Coast. 

On top of it, their public appearances have grown in recent months as they were photographed holding each others hands in New York City. Venus Williams even shared a picture from her Bahamas vacation on her Instagram story along with Preti and called her the 'best company'.

Andrea Preti was born in Denmark and was raised in Italy. Preti initially pursued modelling but then shifted towards acting. He got his training done at Susan Batson Academy in New York City and then later on, tried his hands in writing and directing as well. His most notable works include the film One More Day, in which he starred, wrote and even directed it. He has appeared in the Italian TV series - A Professor and the film Temptation too. 

Venus Williams previously dated model Elio Pis and financer Nicholas Hammond. In the year 2019, Williams called it quits with Hammond. In an interview with Glamour UK in 2022, Venus spoke about her single life and her openness to change.
