Story Highlights:

Alcaraz and Sinner have split all Grand Slam titles over the past two years, emerging as the sport’s new arch rivals.

Andy Roddick praised Alcaraz’s variety, mid-match adjustments, and athleticism in the US Open 2025 final.

Carlos Alcaraz clinched his second US Open title and sixth Grand Slam after defeating Jannik Sinner in four sets at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday. The Spaniard equally split the Grand Slam title with Sinner this season, as Alcaraz also won the 2025 Roland Garros.

Two days after the US Open victory, the celebration has not died down. Tennis commentator Jose Morgado reposted a TikTok video where Alcaraz can be seen celebrating in the company of Colombian singer J Balvin and few others. In the video clip, the six-time Grand Slam champion can be seen dancing with a bunch of people.

The celebration is fitting given Carlos Alcaraz has dethroned Jannik Sinner to reclaim the World No. 1 ranking in men's singles. The duo has become new arch rivals as they have won all the Grand Slams between them in the past two years.

Andy Roddick appreciates Carlos Alcaraz's variety and athleticism against Jannik Sinner in US Open 2025 final

During the same quick Served edition, Andy Roddick focused on Carlos Alcaraz's variety and mid-match adjustments against Jannik Sinner in the 2025 US Open final.

"He just has so much variety and also the mid-match adjustments, right? He hits that slice early, Sinner adjusts. He’s getting away with that fadeaway ball up and away, then Sinner adjusts and starts taking it early in the second set. And then Carlos, he just started pounding, and anytime he had Sinner bled to a corner, he was in behind it," Andy Roddick said.

He added:

"He was as aggressive coming forward as I’ve ever seen him before. The athleticism is just off the charts," he added.

After spending 63 weeks at the top, Jannik Sinner has been replaced by Carlos Alcaraz in the World No.1 spot. The Italian is not far behind the Spaniard, but the pair has a  huge gap between them and the rest of the tour. Interestingly they have won the last eight Grand Slam titles.
