Story Highlights:

Alcaraz’s hairstyle change follows a US Open campaign where a buzz cut, courtesy of his brother, coincided with his title run.

The Spaniard teased more surprises for fans, even joking about adding a moustache to his new look.

Calos Alcaraz made his first outing with his blond hair while practising for the 2025 Laver Cup, set for 19-21 September 2025. Alcaraz achieved great success at the US Open, becoming the second-youngest male player to win six Grand Slam titles.

Carlos Alcaraz has been generating buzz since the start of his US Open campaign, when he appeared with a buzz cut. He later revealed that it was a mishap by his brother Alvaro that led him to sport the new hairstyle. It looked like the Spanish player's buzz cut brought him luck as he dropped only one set and won the title over Jannik Sinner with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, reclaiming the No. 1 rank.

Later, he gave a hint at bringing more surprises related to hair for his fans, and days later, his hairdresser shared pictures of the 22-year-old's latest blonde look. In a recent video, Alcaraz was seen practicing with his new hairstyle, giving fans a clear look at his surprise.

Alcaraz also grabbed attention when he expressed that a moustache would not be a bad idea, as well. Commenting on a friend's post, he wrote:

I'm the biggest fan of the mustache."

Alcaraz added the recent Major title to the Wimbledon win he achieved earlier this year. That feat brought him to the same line as Rafael Nadal, as the latter won his fifth Grand Slam at the same age.

Andy Roddick appreciates Carlos Alcaraz's variety and athleticism against Jannik Sinner in US Open 2025 final

During the same quick Served edition, Andy Roddick focused on Carlos Alcaraz's variety and mid-match adjustments against Jannik Sinner in the 2025 US Open final.

"He just has so much variety and also the mid-match adjustments, right? He hits that slice early, Sinner adjusts. He’s getting away with that fadeaway ball up and away, then Sinner adjusts and starts taking it early in the second set. And then Carlos, he just started pounding, and anytime he had Sinner bled to a corner, he was in behind it," Andy Roddick said.

He added:

"He was as aggressive coming forward as I’ve ever seen him before. The athleticism is just off the charts," he added.

After spending 63 weeks at the top, Jannik Sinner has been replaced by Carlos Alcaraz in the World No.1 spot. The Italian is not far behind the Spaniard, but the pair has a  huge gap between them and the rest of the tour. Interestingly they have won the last eight Grand Slam titles.
