The former US Open champion suffered the injury to her right lower leg during the grass-court season. Following this, Emma was also forced to pull out of Wimbledon. According to a report by the Press Association, she consulted with the medical team, and the conclusion was that she will not play at the US Open 2026 this month.
The news comes as no surprise given the nature of the injury, and her withdrawal from the New York tournament is yet another blow to the tennis star. Raducanu’s most recent positive progress was when she won her first matches at Flushing Meadows since lifting the trophy five years ago.
However, Raducanu has been plagued with persistent injuries recently and has been suffering from a frustrating 12 months of physical issues. The player also changed her coach and rehired Andrew Richardson, but the pair has so far failed to achieve anything big following Emma’s unfortunate injuries and illness.
