The 16-time World Champion took to social media to congratulate the first-ever 17-time World Champion. The Hall of Famer sent his flowers to Cena for reaching the unprecedented mark and also gave a shout-out to Cody Rhodes for exhibiting a "classic" show at the Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.

John Cena Makes History at WrestleMania 41

Since it was The Rock, who orchestrated the whole John Cena heel turn at the Elimination Chamber, he was expected to interfere and projected to be instrumental in Cena winning the title, moreover, speculations were aloud about a potential Stone Cold Steve Austin returning to stop Cena and The Rock. To the disappointment of the fans, no one returned and to a bigger scathing surprise, it was Travis Scott, who intervened and caused Cody to lose his title.

It came as an underwhelming affair as it only took one low blow and a belt on the head to get the better of Cody Rhodes, the same superstar who went against all the odds to finish his story and beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. If there is something volatile in the world, it has to be pro wrestling.

Nevertheless, no matter how it came about, the fact is that history has been made. Much like many records, this feat may also remain untouched forever, strengthening the claim that John Cena is indeed the GOAT of WWE.
