Matt Cardona jokingly claims The Miz used AI to write his tribute to retiring WWE legend AJ Styles.

The Miz also recalls a tense 2016 Talking Smack segment where he feared Daniel Bryan might punch him.

The Miz was accused of taking help from AI to write an emotional message ahead of tonight's episode of WWE RAW. This week's show will air live from Philadelphia and is the first show after Royal Rumble 2026.

AJ Styles fought against Gunther with his career on the line at the WWE PLE over the weekend in Saudi Arabia. Gunther applied a Sleeper Hold to The Phenomenal One, the icon passed out in the middle of the ring to end his in-ring career. The Miz took to Instagram today to send a heartwarming message about Styles and congratulated him on an iconic career.

"I watched you inspire people who never even shared a ring with you. I watched you make opponents better just by standing across from them (me being one of them). And I watched fans believe because when you were out there, it was real. Thank you for the matches. Thank you for the respect. Thank you for leaving this place better than you found it. The Phenomenal One isn’t retiring. The legacy already did its job," he wrote.

Matt Cardona replied with a hilarious message and suggested that the former WWE Champion used AI for his post.

"Chat Miz wrote this," Cardona responded.

The 45-year-old took part in the Men's Royal Rumble match at the PLE over the weekend but did not become victorious. Roman Reigns won the Men's Royal Rumble and will be contesting for a major title at WWE WrestleMania 42.

The Miz elaborates heated segment with former WWE star

The Miz revealed that he thought Daniel Bryan, now known as Bryan Danielson in All Elite Wrestling, was set to punch him in the face during their heated exchange on Talking Smack in 2016.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT podcast, The A-Lister remembered getting short tempered after Daniel Bryan said he was a soft wrestler. The SmackDown star added that he thought Bryan was going to hit him after the segment.

"And then I think he said I wrestle soft or something like that... So then I remember, like, getting really angry, like really angry, so angry that when he walked I thought he was going to hit me. I really did. Plan was he was gonna punch me in the face," he added.

The Miz recently helped Carmelo Hayes retain the United States Championship by interfering in his title defense against Ilja Dragunov on WWE SmackDown.
