In a major shake-up ahead of WrestleMania 41, it appears Bayley will no longer compete at the premium live event on Sunday night. The former WWE Women’s Champion was originally set to join forces with Lyra Valkyria in a bid to dethrone Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships—a plan that has now been derailed.
The cameras of WWE suddenly found a shocking scene backstage at the Allegiant Stadium on Saturday when they caught Bayley in full distress. As reported with the broadcast, she was groaning in pain and claimed that a surprise attack had happened to her. Medical personnel attended to her injured shoulder, and later, WWE Raw's General manager, Adam Pearce, revealed that the prognosis was not hopeful.
Doctors reportedly told Pearce, "things did not look good" for the Grand Slam Champion, giving effective words for her exclusion from the scheduled title match on Sunday.
Liv and Raquel Deny Involvement, Seek Forfeit Win
As this scene was unfolding, the Women's Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez walked by, linking their innocence with the said 'ambush' incident. The champions, however, did not miss a chance to angle the game towards a WrestleMania win without even lifting a finger.
They insisted they'd be happy to take a forfeit victory, but Pearce quickly shut down that idea. He stated the championship match will be happening although and informed Valkyria that she had around 24 hours left to find a new tag partner.
Becky Lynch Name Surfaces Amongst Chaos
Her absence could also create an opening for perhaps what would end up being a seismic kind of return, especially coming on the heels of Bayley's capturing the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania XL. Buzz about Becky Lynch has intensified since "The Man" herself is in Las Vegas, even rumored to be making her way soon back into WWE television. The absence may leave for some tremendous anticipation.
Lynch has not been involved in any storylines active since her last feud with Liv Morgan, during which she also took mentor ship status to Lyra Valkyria. All elements of the puzzle appear to align very well for a dramatic return, should she clear action.
WrestleMania Tag Title Match Still On:
Despite this glitch, the company is going ahead with its thematic intents on the Women's Tag Title defense. Now, all eyes are on Valkyria and whom she could choose as her partner under the bright WrestleMania 41 lights, exclusion Bayley from the picture.
If it turns out to be Becky Lynch, then the tag match could go from a routine title defense to one of the most discussed moments of the weekend.
