A WWE icon has disclosed why he has a feeling of hate towards CM Punk. The second City saint is famous for not mincing his words in his promos, and many times this would create friction with some of the wrestlers.
In the year of 2011, Punk had a feud with former WWE Champion Kevin Nash, but it never led to a fight. However, the Voice of the Voiceless was very vocal in his promos during the rivalry.
Since then, Big Daddy Cool has made his feelings clear on CM Punk many times. This has led fans to believe that his criticism of the current World Champions stems from their toxic rivalry over a decade ago. However that is not the problem, according to Nash.
Appearing on the Kliq THIS Podcast, Nash addressed the promo between Punk and Roman Reigns on RAW. The OTC1 said that Punk took his ball and went home for 10 years. Nash talked about this and then disclosed why he actually has heat with him.
“There's this one thing CM Punk did that Kevin Nash could never forgive him. People will say, ‘Ooo hoo, Buried you in that promo where you couldn’t cut one back?’ No, dude. I was so f*cking glad because he was so f*cking over, as I was out there, and this gonna go full circle. Where his heat with me is, he left ten f*cking years of huge money on the floor. That’s my heat. I don’t give a f*ck what you do in your f*cking wrestling sh*t man," he said.
The Hall of Famer said that he has maintained that you need to make money and put in the miles in this business.
"I’ve said it from day one on this show, two things are real: f*cking money and the miles. It ain’t miles and money. It's money and miles. Because you ain’t doing no miles if there ain’t no money. So when Roman said to him, ‘You took your ball and went home for ten f*cking years.’ Done, nothing you can say,'" he added.
CM Punk to lock horns with Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber
This week on RAW, Finn Balor made it obvious that he wants to lock horns with CM Punk for the World Title at Elimination Chamber. He said that since Punk defeated him on his home turf, he will give the same treatment to him in Chicago.
This led to GM Adam Pearce coming out and saying that he has had his chance and won't get another opportunity.
However, Punk came down to the ring and requested Pearce to make the match official for Elimination Chamber following Balor declined to fight him on RAW.
