India captain Suryakumar Yadav revealed that Pakistan players were provoking the Men in Blue during their Asia Cup 2025 clashes at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. The Mumbai batter even refused to share everything that Pakistani cricketers used against his side in the mega event.
Pakistan's controversial moves against India in Asia Cup 2025
Notably, Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf was seen doing controversial gestures towards the fans during their Super Four clash against India and in the same clash, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Rauf were also seen provoking India openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma while the duo were batting. Apart from that, Shahibzada Farhan's gun celebration in the same clash created controversy among the fans.
However, BCCI filed their complaint at ICC, and the Cricketing governing body also imposed a 30 per cent match fee fine on Rauf for his controversial gestures.
Suryakumar Yadav's suggestion to teammates for coping with Pakistan's provocation
In the exclusive chat with Sports Tak, skipper Suryakumar Yadav said his side would respond with performance because there would be no better response than a win.
“Look, the game always has its ups and downs. There’s naturally aggression from the bowlers and fielders because everyone wants to win, but it’s important not to go overboard. After all three matches, many players shared their experiences with me. I won’t reveal everything, but quite a lot happened on the field. Both the players and support staff came to speak with me. I told them after the first and second matches that if we perform well and secure a win here too, there couldn’t be a better response than that” Suryakumar Yadav told Sports Tak.
Notably, India and Pakistan faced each other three times in the Asia Cup 2025 (Group Stage, Super Four, Final) and the Suryakumar Yadav-led side came victorious all three times, defeating the Men in Green by seven, six and five wickets respectively.
