India captain Suryakumar Yadav has come back to Mumbai a day after leading the national team to a T20 Asia Cup 2025 title win against Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. Defending champions India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the summit clash of the continental tournament. 

Suryakumar arrived in Mumbai with his wife, Devisha. The duo was spotted leaving the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in a black SUV. The video of the Indian T20I captain has gone viral on social media. Here is the clip.

Notably, Team India left Dubai in groups on Monday. Players picked for the upcoming Test series against the West Indies, along with head coach Gautam Gambhir and other support staff, flew to Ahmedabad for the first Test, which will start on October 02.  The rest of the squad headed to their respective home cities. Shivam Dube, the other Mumbai-based player in the squad, also returned to the city.

Suryakumar Yadav-led India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning all seven matches, including three victories over Pakistan. However, after winning the final, Team India refused to accept the trophy from Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who also heads the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Asian Cricket Council.

India's Abhishek Sharma was awarded the Player of the Tournament, smashing 314 runs in the seven outings of the tournament. He was the highest run-getter of the mega event. India's veteran spinner was the highest wicket-taker in the Asia Cup 2025 with 17 scalps in seven matches. He picked up a four-wicket haul against Pakistan in the summit clash.
