After losing the first test match against Bangladesh by 10 wickets at Rawalpindi ground, the Pakistan team are desperate to make a comeback. But is seems like the rain gods are not in favour of the hosts as the Day 1 of the second Test match at Rawalpindi ground washed out due to persistent rain. 

 

Heavy rain in Rawalpindi


After losing the first Test match by 10 wickets against Bangladesh, Shan Masood-led Pakistan faced a lot of criticism from fans and former cricketers. After this, the Pakistan team led by Shan Masood is eager to return to the field and show its strength to all the fans. On the other hand, the Bangladesh team would like to maintain the dominance of the victory of the first match. But on August 30, it rained heavily in the Rawalpindi ground since morning because of that the first day ended without bowling a ball. 

 

Day 2 play will likely to be abandoned

 

The Rawalpindi outfield is currently wet due to consistent heavy rain and now there are chances that the ground can worsen further by night. Due to this the dark clouds of crisis will remain on the second day on 31st August.

Bangladesh has a chance to create history

 

On the other hand, if we look at the two-match Test series, then the Bangladesh team are ahead 1-0 with their first-ever win in Test cricket history against Pakistan. While Pakistan team, after losing the first match, will now want to save the series by winning the second Test match. For this, one day has been wasted and Pakistan will now want to defeat Bangladesh in the next four days. On the other hand, if this Test match is drawn, then the Bangladesh team will leave for home with the first and historic Test series win on Pakistani soil.
