Tamim Iqbal-led Bangladesh created history in Centurion by registering their first-ever ODI series win on South African soil. Taskin Ahmed became the first Bangladesh bowler to take a fifer against the Proteas in the ODI format and helped the visitors bundled out Temba Bavuma-led side for a paltry total of 154 which was chased down with 23.3 overs to spare.

After winning the toss, Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bat first. The hosts got off to a good start but it all went downhill after Quinton de Kock's wicket. Mehidy Hasan drew first blood with the wicketkeeper-batter's wicket.

Introduced in eighth over, Taskin struck in his third over by getting rid of half-centurion of previous game, Kyle Verreynne. In his next over, the pacer got rid of opener Janneman Malan. The pacer surprised him with extra bounce. He top-scored for the hosts with 39 runs from 56 deliveries.

From the other end, Shakib Al Hasan did not let Proteas skipper settle and trapped him in front of the stumps.

Shoriful Islam joined the party as well and got the wicket of Rassie van der Dussen, one batter who could have done damage control after a flurry of wickets.

David Miller and Dwaine Pretorious tried to get the innings back on track but skipper Tamim Iqbal wanted to wrap the Proteas innings early. Taskin came back into the attack and lured Pretorious into a drive which cost him his wicket.

In his eighth over, the 27-year-old got the big wicket of Miller which exposed the tail. Later in the over, he took Kagiso Rabada's wicket to become the first Bangladesh bowler to take a fifer against South Africa in the format.

Keshav Maharaj tried to add a few crucial rules and play as many overs they could but after Lungi Ngidi's wicket, he got run out after a mix-up with no.11 batter Tabriaz Shamsi. South Africa lasted 37 overs as they were bowled out for 154.

In the run chase, Bangladesh batters seemed like they were batting at a different Centurion wicket. Skipper Iqbal led from front and notched up his 51st ODI half-century. Iqbal and Liton Das shared a 127-run partnership for the second wicket. The hero of previous match, Rabada was unimpressive with the new ball. Das missed his half-century by just two runs. Maharaj got his wicket in the 21st over. It was the only wicket that fell in Bangladesh's innings. Iqbal and Shakib guided Bangladesh home in the 27th over and registered their largest victory over South Africa in the format. The southpaw remained unbeaten for 87 off 82 deliveries including 14 boundaries.
