Pakistan's star all-rounder Imad Wasim has announced his retirement from international cricket yet again. Imad Wasim had initially retired but made a comeback into the Pakistan's National Team after a stellar performance in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he played a crucial role in Islamabad United's title triumph.

Right after that, he was selected for the T20 World Cup 2024, alongside Mohammad Amir. However, Pakistan's campaign in the tournament was disappointing, and they failed to advance beyond the group stage.
Wasim couldn't make a mark in the T20 World Cup 2024 and managed to score only 19 runs in three matches and took three wickets at an economy rate of 4.00. His last international match was against Ireland in Lauderhill.
Throughout his 55 ODI and T20I matches, he amassed 1,540 runs, including six half-centuries, showcasing his batting prowess. As a skilled left-arm spinner, he claimed 117 wickets, which included two five-wicket hauls and a four-wicket haul, proving his effectiveness with the ball which made him the World no.11 all-rounder in 2017.
Wasim announced his decision through a social media post on Twitter, previously known as X. He thanked all his fans and supporters for their unwavering support, love and passion. However, he also mentioned that he will
“To all fans and supporters: After much thought and reflection, I have decided to retire from international cricket. Representing Pakistan on the world stage has been the greatest honor of my life, and every moment wearing the green jersey has been unforgettable,” Wasim wrote in his post.
"Your unwavering support, love, and passion have always been my biggest strength. From the highs to the lows, your encouragement has pushed me to give my best for our beloved country."
"While this chapter comes to an end, I look forward to continuing my journey in cricket through domestic and franchise cricket, and I hope to keep entertaining you all in new ways. Thank you for everything. Pakistan," his post further read.
