Many fans would want to forget the two run-outs that denied India of multiple ICC trophies. First, it was MS Dhoni in 2019 World Cup and then Harmanpreet Kaur's which saw India losing the Women's T20 World Cup to Australia by five runs. While Harmanpreet was seen emotional on the sidelines after the all-important game which put a halt to India's campaign in the Women's T20 World Cup, she penned an emotional message for all the fans that supported the Women in Blue all through.

While it was a shocking loss for the Indian team, it did prove Australia's capabilities to come back even in the toughest of situations. At one stage India looked well in command but as soon as the Indian captain departed following a bizarre run out after her bat stuck on the pitch, the Indian Team too lost their way.

While the run out meant another heartbreak for the Indians, it helped the Aussies qualify for the seventh successive T20 World Cup final. Harmanpreet Kaur was heartbroken and emotional when the former captain Anjum Chopra tried consoling her after the game. The 33-year-old has finally opened up on Twitter as she penned down an emotional message to her fans. In the tweet, she thanked the fans and shared the pain of how difficult it must have been for them to see the team lose.

While it was sad for the Indian team but the captain assured the fans that the team will come back strongly and would put on a great show in the coming tournaments. She said, "This is for all our fans across the globe who have supported us throughout this World Cup. I thank you for believing in our journey. I know as a cricket fan it’s sad to see your team lose. All I can say is that we will come back strongly and put a great show out there."

When India were reeling at 28/3 while chasing Australia's daunting target of 173, it was all down to Harmanpreet at one stage. The captain knew the importance of her wicket and after the match emphasised on the fact that if she was there till the end, India would have had a better chance in the game.

"If my bat didn't get stuck, that run would have easily happened. If I had stayed till the last moment, the game would have finished an over before given the momentum we had. But even after that, Deepti Sharma was there, and Richa Ghosh was there. I had a belief that they could get the job done. If you have seen the matches till now, Richa had batted brilliantly. But after my dismissal, there were seven or eight dot balls and that was the turning point of the match. Otherwise, we had good momentum and things were going well," Harmanpreet had said.
